Bluet Damselfly

These are to be found in many places around the Norfolk Broads. I love the vivid blue of these pretty damselflies.

  3. Thats actually a Bluet which is a Damselfly, not a Dragonfly.

    You can tell them apart almost instantly by the way they hold their wings. A dragonfly's wings will be horizontal when at rest, and Damselfly folds them up.
